Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 12/29/21 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil. 

FO Load Tested: 5% | Acceleration: Mild | Ricing: None |  Discoloration: Brown | Trace: Normal  |  Scent Retention: Strong

Design Notes: Recommend mixing colorants prior to adding fragrance oil. In our test recipe we experienced fast acceleration, however, in other recipes (higher in light oils) slight acceleration was noted. We recommend testing your recipe in a small batch for behavior.
