Kokoist captures the luminous trail of a passing comet in Koko's Comet, part of the Planet Magnet Series. This is a warm, golden-orange shimmer with a soft, glittery white particle effect that shifts and glows with every angle. The 5D magnetic formula creates a rich, dimensional crushed-velvet look that feels genuinely cosmic.
The gel carries a soft, translucent texture that works beautifully on its own over natural nails or layered over a deeper base color for saturated, otherworldly depth. The shimmer intensity builds with each layer, giving you full creative control over the final effect.
How to Apply
- Thoroughly prepare the nail, removing any dead skin and loose cuticle off and around the nail plate. Lightly buff the nail with a sponge buffer to remove any dirt and excess shine. Wipe any moisture from the nail using alcohol to prepare it for your gel application.
- Apply any KOKOIST Base Gel to the natural nail and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp. Optional: apply two layers of the base coat, curing in between, for extra durability.
- Using a gel application brush, apply your KOKOIST Magnet Gel and do not cure. Use the 5D Magnet to stimulate the magnetic particles to your liking. Once satisfied with your design, cure using an UV and/or LED lamp. Cure time: 30 seconds LED / 60 seconds UV.
- Optional: apply a second layer of the Magnetic Gel and repeat Step 3 to create more depth and dimension.
- Apply KOKOIST Top Coat Gel and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp.
- Note: if the gel is applied very thick, it can cause an uneven nail surface or air bubbles, leading to improper curing. Store out of direct light and at room temperature after each use. We recommend using a strong curing unit or else gel will not cure all the way through, causing lifting or peeling. Be careful not to get gel onto the skin. Gel applied over the cuticle or around the eponychium area can cause lifting. Uncured gel left on the skin can cause allergic reactions to occur. Discontinue use immediately if itching, redness, or swelling occurs on your skin, and contact a physician.
