Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic practice that involves gently pouring oil over the forehead and through the hair. This soothing treatment can calm the senses and relax both body and mind.
This Tridoshic Shirodhara Oil is specially formulated to suit all Ayurvedic constitutions or doshas. It contains sesame oil for natural conditioning, plus herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda to promote a sense of calm.

Treatment Notes
Before performing a shirodhara treatment, warm 2 to 8 cups of Shirodhara Oil to 98-104 degrees.
The shirokarma treatment incorporates about 10-15 minutes of shirodhara in a 90-minute treatment. The amount of oil used depends on the flow. We suggest using 150 mL oil (5 fl. oz.) in 10-15 minutes, but with a higher flow rate, you could easily double it.
A full shirodhara treatment with an ayurvedic doctor present would use about 2 liters (half a gallon or about 8 cups).
